Ecstasy causes Memory Problems

Ecstasy may causememory problems scientists say. People who consume 3 Ecstasy tablets a month for a year lost some memory on a laboratory test made, scientists reported onJuly 25. Scientists say Ecstasy, a drug that brings euphoria, alot of energy and weird experiences, can harm the brain in part by screwing with cells. Studies have been hard to see because the differences seen between Ecstasy users and nonusers have existed long before the drug use began. People who use Ecstasy alot normally  use other drugs too, making it hard to lose the  Ecstasy’s effects. Daniel Wagner of a university in Germany and his friends wanted to see people who used Ecstasy. They got 149 people who used Ecstasy five or more times and used the exams through a brain test looking for signs. One year later, they retested 43 people who didnt use Ecstasy since they tested them the year before, and 23 who had used 10 or more Ecstasy pills. These people used about of 33 tablets of Ecstasy.

Fake JellyFish

Scientists have created an artificial jellyfish that swims with the same body used by real jellyfish. After analyzing the swimming of the jelly, the scientists made a  frame with eight arm structures out of an elastic silicon. Then they seeded it with rat cells. The rat cells grew into muscles and everything worked. When the scientists let their creation, the fake jellyfish’s muscles began contracting. The jellyfish got the name FrankenJelly. The invention lead the scientists to new ideas to make muscle parts for other animals. The Jelly is made of silicone and cells and it moves like a real Jelly. The scientists came from the university of Caltech, Harvard.

Lightest Material in the World

The lightest material in the World only  weights 0.2 milligrams per cubic centimetre, and is therefore 75 times lighter than Styrofoam, but it is very strong nevertheless. Scientists of Kiel have named it Aerographite. It is black, stable, electrically conductive, and  non-transparentThe scientists say “Our work is causing great discussions in the scientific community. Aerographite weights four times less than world-record-holder up to now.” .The nickel was the lightest but now it has a higher atomic mass. It is able to be compressed up to 95 percent and be pulled back to its original form without any damage, said the professor Rainer. This scientific results were published on July 3, 2012. They were found by the scientist Armin Schuchard.Image

Rhamphorhynchus Fossil

For some time, scientists  ignored a fossil, it was a flying reptile that was 14 centimeters long. They thought it was just another of some specimen Rhamphorhynchus found at Germany. So then they checked it again and found out it was something new, a scientist of the University of Bristol in England said that on July 5. They’re creating a new specimen Bellubrunnus to honor the German. The little specimen has small and few teeth and a its more flexible than the other specimens distinguishing it from any other flying animal. For the animal it  would have made flying harder. Its different from any other reptile because of its curved wings. The fossil was preserved really good and because of that the scientists could study it more and get to know him more. The fossil was studied in England by some scientists and all this information was found out by the editor Janet Raloff. The scientists gave her this information to help her write the article and to give the information to the world so they could know.ImageThanks dawgs.
