Favorite Song “Im Awesome – Spose”

i’m awsome!!!
no you’re not dude don’t lie
i’m awsome!!!
i’m drivin around in my mom’s ride
i’m awsome!!!
a quarter of my life gone by and
i met all my friends online
i’m awsome!!!
i will run away from a brawl
i’m awsome!!!
there’s no voice mail nobody called
i’m awsome!!!
i can’t afford to buy eight ball
and i talk to myself
on my Facebook wall

1) Indicate the rhyme used:

” gone by and online”

“ball and wall”

2) Which words are repeated:

“I’m awesome”

3) Interpret what the song means to you. (minimum 5 sentences)

The song is about a guy that is about 25 years old, lives with his mom, doesn’t own a car and doesn’t have a job. He talks about how awesome he is, even tho he knows he’s not even a little awesome. He doesn’t have friends, well he does but they’re Facebook friends and he doesn’t really know them at all. For me, this song means the opposite of what the song is saying, because he says he’s awesome, but it’s the exact opposite. A quarter of his life has gone by and hasn’t accomplished anything in life, he’s not heading anywhere. They’re trying to show us how we shouldn’t be doing what he’s doing, wasting time.

3) How does the repetition and rhyme enhance the songs meaning? (2 sentences)

It helps us understand if the singer is being funny or serious, by the rhyme, if the rhyme is more serious or sad its because the person means what he or she is saying. If the person is being funny the rhyme might be more vivid and funny.

The Fall Of The House Of Usher

Compare and contrast Roderick and Madeline Usher. (minimum 7 sentences)

Roderick Usher is reserved, habitual and excessive on the other side, Madeline is the one who always causes the tense and angy. In comparison, they’re both reserved and quiet and are friends with the narrator, they both create tension and supense throughout the whole story. The House and the walls are dark, so are the characters, they’re reserved and quiet, which In life is pretty much being a little dark.

How does my environment influence me?

Everything around us influences us in many ways, we may not realize it does, but it does. Where you live, who you’re with and what you see in your everyday life changes how you act and react to different things. In Guatemala, I think mainly every citizen is afraid when they leave their homes in the morning because they don’t know if they’re going to be back to see their families at night. That is because of all the violence and breaking of the law, that’s how I feel. I’m afraid every morning when I leave home because I don’t know if I’m going to see my parents again. I was raised by my two parents and they taught me how to difference the right and the wrong, that’s why I am who I am today. I hang out with people who I know are going to lead me to positive things and not to make mistakes. I was taught from very little what were the most important valors. That’s why the environment affects people, if they were born in a place where the people around them have no valors and are not responsible, they are going to have those bad people be their models, they’ll follow them and grow up being like them. That is why Guatemala is they way it is, If their parents have not education, their kids are going to be just like them.

The Best Day Of My Life

The Best Day of my life was 15 minutes ago when I was hired by Google, I had entered an internship and spent almost 3 months trying to get hired and did my best effort. It was really hard since I wasn´t the only one that applied to the job, that meant that I had a big competition. They were all really smart because they had made it to the internship so it kind of worried me. I never gave up because it was my biggest and only dream. Later when the internship ended, I got a call the they after (today). They were telling me to be in the office in 30 minutes so I went and they gave me the big news. It amazed me and made me very happy, the first thing I did was call my parents since they supported me from the beggining. It was the start of my dream..

That would be the best day of my life.

My Passion

I’ve been recently asked a few times what my passion was this year by some family members. They were interested of knowing what I wanted to do when I was older, what I wanted to study when I graduate. Two years ago I started a YouTube channel and I started getting really into all the Internet kind of things. The idea of making money by sitting infront of a screen amazed me, so I started working on my YouTube channel and got It a little known. To this year it has 7,500 subcribers and I got videos to over 100,000 views, when that happened I got an email from YouTube offering me a partnership (gain money out of the views I get on my videos) so I accepted. In that moment I knew what my passion was, I knew what I wanted to do when I was older. My dream is to work for a big company like Google, Microsoft or any social media companies creating apps or etc. This year I had the chance to talk to some people that work in Google via Skype and they gave me the work options Google had, you have to be a genious or really lucky to work in Google so that is my goal, to start looking into the job options they gave me and pick the one I like the most. When I graduate from the university I’ll apply for a job and with the help of the contacts I have I’ll try to get hired.

That is my passion. :))

Cancer and Heredity

Cancer and Heredity is a question commonly asked by cancer patients and their relatives they ask if
cancer is a hereditary disease. They ask this question because of  their concerns on the risk that other family members can have cancer later in life. Cancer and heredity is a important issue thats why there are diagnosis of hereditary cancer. It allows doctors to provide advice on treatment they can give or provide to avoid it. Hereditary cancers are mostly because of  mutations there has to be 2 mutated genes. The chances of gettin both genes from parents are really low. Its more common that only 1 gene is mutated. Scientists think that in the next generation there will be always already 1 gene mutated so that leads to tumors. When theres familiar cancer it means that cancer can lead to multiple types of cancer. Its not always the same type.

DNA in crime scenes.

The DNA has changed alot in the way of criminal stuff to investigate crime. The DNA is very usefull in crime scenes because when they find DNA in a crime scene they can automatically know alot about the suspect. The DNA was first identified in 1869 by Friedrich Miescher but later, scientists called it DNA. The fingerprints are really special because they’re unique to each person. Every person has a unique, special fingerprint, when scientists test them, it gives them alot of information about the suspect. The first case where scientists used DNA was in 1996 when a suspect was acused of murdering 2 girls. He was inocent, later the police found and arrested another man, all thanks to DNA proof. The advantages of DNA are that you can easily find a suspect. Some disadvantages might be that there’s alot of people where they can find DNA from, so it takes a while to find the suspect. It’s really important to know about DNA, because it’s always usefull in alot of things, for example, in New York Law School they found the innocence of more than 100 wrong inmates by DNA.

Rosalind Elsie Franklin / Watson and Crick

Rosalind Elsie Franklin was a British biophysist and X-Ray Chrystallographer who made contributions to  understanding the  molecular structures of DNA, RNA, different viruses, coal, etc. She was responsible for the research and discovery that led to understanding the structure of acids, DNA. The story of DNA is a tale  told one way in James Watson’s book The Double Helix. James Watson, Francis Crick, and Maurice Wilkins got a Nobel Prize for the double-helix  of DNA in 1962. She excelled at science and went to one of the few girls’ schools in London that teached physics and chemistry. In the 1950s Francis Crick and James Watson becme interested in Paulings work ( discovered proteins in alpha helix) at first they made a fail model. Then Watson and Crick showed that  the DNA molecule was like the other. During cell division both separate and on each and make a new other half. Franklin helped them in alot of ways because with his results they could get theirs. After all worked DNA’s discovery has been called the most important biological work of the last 100 years, because the structure was so perfect that the data almost accepted the model.
